Descriptions of Volunteer Roles
▶︎ Registration: Duties will include checking every delegate into the Summit and processing their access badges. You will be responsible for helping delegates with any questions regarding the Summit, programming, transportation, lodging, etc. Don’t worry, we will train you on arrival.
Even when you are not volunteering and you are enjoying Summit programming outside of volunteer hours, you are the face everyone knows to go to for questions so please be mindful that you are still representing the Summit at all times. This is also a fantastic networking opportunity because you are a familiar face to everyone. You will also be working side by side with all the Jackson Wild staff members so this is a great opportunity to get to know everyone that has worked so hard to put this event together.
▶︎ Hospitality: As a Hospitality volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our delegates have a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the 2023 Jackson Wild Summit. Your responsibilities will include a range of tasks, such as stage set-up and maintenance, microphone running, seating assistance, and facilitation between the tech team and speakers to ensure their presentations are loaded and ready to go.
In addition to these tasks, you will also be responsible for assisting exhibitors with their equipment and booth setup, and welcoming delegates at the airport. This includes ensuring that they have a smooth arrival and assisting them with transportation to and from the Jackson Lake Lodge. Throughout the event, you will be a valuable resource for our delegates, helping to ensure that their needs are met and that they have a positive experience. With your help, we can make this year's Summit a success and provide our delegates with an unforgettable experience.
▶︎ Tech Team: As a Tech Team volunteer, you will be an essential member of the Jackson Wild Summit team, working behind the scenes to ensure that everything runs smoothly during the event. Your role will involve a range of tasks, including lights, sound, camera operation, production support, and speaker materials management.
You will work closely with our experienced technical team to set up and operate the equipment needed for each session, ensuring that everything is working correctly and to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for monitoring the equipment during the sessions and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. With your technical expertise and willingness to go above and beyond, we can make this year's Jackson Wild Summit a success.
▶︎ Floater: As a Floater volunteer, you will have a vital role in ensuring that the 2023 Jackson Wild Summit runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be scheduled where needed and be able to assist with a wide variety of tasks throughout the event. This flexibility allows us to adapt to the needs of the Summit and ensure that all tasks are completed on time. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as providing assistance to other volunteers, filling in as a substitute volunteer when needed, running errands, and providing general support to Summit staff and delegates.
This position requires a willingness to jump in wherever needed and a positive attitude to tackle any task that comes your way. With your help, we can make sure that all aspects of the Summit run smoothly and that our delegates have a positive experience. By joining our team as a Floater volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Summit staff, volunteers and delegates attendees in various roles.
▶︎ Transportation: As a Transportation volunteer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our delegates have a smooth and stress-free travel experience during the 2023 Jackson Wild Summit. Your primary responsibility will be to provide transportation for delegates to and from the airport and other event locations.
You will be responsible for driving our delegates in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that they arrive at their destination on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and following all traffic laws and regulations. In addition to transportation duties, you may also be asked to assist with other tasks, such as luggage handling and event logistics, as needed.
As a Transportation volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet delegates from around the world and assist with airport pickups, excursions, event runs, trips to Colter Bay Village, etc. Your dedication and commitment to providing excellent service will be crucial to the success of the event, and your contribution will be greatly appreciated by both the Summit staff and our delegates.
