Nat Geo WILD, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, and the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) partnered up and launched the Rally the Herd public service announcement contest in the fall of 2015, to raise awareness to the plight of the African elephant. 
Poachers kill as many as 35,000 elephants each year in Africa, and other threats such as habitat loss and conflict with humans are jeopardizing the future of one of the continent’s most iconic species. Nat Geo WILD takes its viewers to the front lines of this crisis, where groups like AWF are battling to save the species from extinction.
