Every year, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival enlists the help of dedicated individuals to assist with Festival programs. The Festival is indebted to the many volunteers that participate—without their support, The Film Festival would not be possible! Volunteers are the heart and soul of JHWFF.
Volunteer Qualifications
Ideal volunteers may possess any or all of the following
qualifications:
• Ability to coordinate the flow of information among the
festival staff.
• Possess an excellent manner & can-do attitude.
• Superior organizational skills.
• Confidence.
• Fearlessness in the face of temperamental office equipment.
• Ability to anticipate change and simply love to facilitate
others.
• Computer skills.
• Experience in set design or set building.
• Technical skills associated with sound, lighting and multi-format
video projection systems.
• Stamina and staying power.
Event Volunteers donate hours
throughout the Festival held in
the fall. In return for your volunteer efforts
at the Festival, you will have access to seminars,
panel discussions, and film viewings subject to your volunteer
schedule. For the Film Festival, preference is given to those
volunteers that are able to commit full-time hours throughout
the event. Full-time volunteers are also
eligible
for
lodging.
Volunteers will be needed for a
variety of functions, including tech support, venue operations, special events, registration, set-up,
and pre-production. Full-time, part-time, one day, many days . . . our needs are varied and flexible. The work is demanding, but the rewards are many. Many volunteers return, year after year, looking forward to the camaraderie that develops among the staff and volunteers.
Office Volunteers donate their time throughout the
year, helping with pre-event preparations
and a variety of interesting projects.
These volunteers
sign-up for hours when they are available—a
great opportunity for one who is not readily available
during the Festival. Office Volunteers also have the opportunity
to participate in Festival events and screenings, based on
the amount of time they contribute. To learn more about volunteering
in our office, please call 307.733.7016.
