ABOUT THE EXHIBIT FLOOR
The goal of the Exhibit Floor is to to educate Industry professionals and increase their understanding of new technology and its contributions to the creative process.

Open throughout the Symposium, the Exhibit Floor will showcase the latest technologies in cameras, NLE systems, lenses and adapters, HD equipment and more. Experts will be on hand to discuss the features, benefits, and technology behind dozens of tools.

The Writers Guild of America, West, represents writers in the motion picture, broadcast, cable, and new media industries in both entertainment and news. The union conducts numerous programs, seminars, and events throughout the world on issues of interest to, and on behalf of, writers. For nonfiction filmmakers, the WGA offers a specialized low budget agreement, allowing filmmakers to earn benefits and protections under Guild contract while meeting the demands of the documentary film business. In 2005, the Guild created the WGA Documentary Screenplay Award, which was established to recognize the writer’s pivotal role in theatrical documentaries. The WGA agreement has protected and provided benefits for writers working on programs on networks such as Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, VH-1, and the History Channel.
