There has never been a more dynamic time in scientific discovery and innovation and the need for communicating science to public audiences has never been more critical! Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival and WGBH Boston have joined to bring the Jackson Hole Science Media Awards and Symposium to Boston, the hub of the nation’s scientific, research and technological community. More than 350 leading filmmakers, scientists and science media stakeholders will gather for three days of provocative sessions, keynote events and networking opportunities.
More than 480 entries competed for 23 awards this year! 140+ preliminary judges screened more than 3,500 hours to select the finalists. Immediately prior to the Science Media Symposium, an independent jury chose the winning films. Winners were announced during the Science Media Symposium gala event on Sept. 17th at the New England Aquarium. Click below to see a list of this year's winners.
