"At the channels where I've worked, I've been an early adopter of new technologies in order to future proof our investments in programming and get the jump on the competition.  Some people give me credit for being prescient in being early with HD, CGI and 3D.  I tell them it is the Jackson Hole Symposium that deserves the credit. I saw it all there first.

- Steve Burns, Executive Vice President of Content, National Geographic Channel

Scientific and cultural organizations like zoos and museums are full of stories just waiting to be told, and are magnets for people eager to learn about our amazing world. If our organizations join forces with talented filmmakers and other media professionals, we will be able to extend our reach and touch our audiences in exciting new ways.

- Dave Noel, Vice President of Operations, Denver Museum of Nature & Science

I have yet to attend a Jackson Hole event without returning fully equipped with new ideas, projects and contacts. The Symposium is not to be missed.

- Ellen Windemuth, CEO, Off the Fence Productions

Jackson Hole continues to be one of the premier gatherings of the best and the brightest in natural history filmmaking. It brings the creative community together to discuss best practices and brainstorm ways to innovate for the future.

- Clark Bunting, President and General Manager of Discovery Channel & President of Science Channel

New Dimensions, Barry Clark on 3D

Effective 3D storytelling goes well beyond understanding the tools that are now at hand. Barry Clark, Producer with Mandalay Media, has written a detailed analysis that succinctly describes some of the considerations that need to be taken into account as 3D image creators explore the artistic dimensions of this rapidly developing format. "It's a new canvas and a new set of paints," Clark says, "and you can use it any way you want, to convey powerful messages, to create meaningful art, or, if used carelessly, to harm your audience."
