International Forest Film Festival
Venue Information
To celebrate the International Year of the Forests, 2011, the International Forest Film Festival showcased selections of celebrated forest films as part of the global launch of Forests 2011 at UN Headquarters in New York, and will subsequently screen at other festivals and events around the world. The Film Festival is a key part of our outreach efforts, enabling us to raise global awareness of the importance of forests, their relationship with people and the planet we share, and consequently, to inspire a sense of personal responsibility and stewardship for a greener, more equitable, sustainable future.
The cost to showcase an International Forest Film Festival screening is $50 per 5 hours of content. This cost reflects administration, duplication and standard shipping costs for the U.S. - additional costs for express or international shipping will be assessed for those needs. The content may represent Festival winners, or any combination of films entered in the Festival, as tailored to the intent each event or venue. It is our requirement that these films be seen by the public for free, and that any showcase of IFFF films be accompanied by United Nations and International Forest Film Festival materials.
Organizations interested in hosting special screenings should also visit the IYOF website for additional information, or download a one-page information sheet, and feel free to email or call with any questions. To host a screening event, please fill out the IFFF Screening Agreement and return (via e-mail if possible) to the festival office (julie@jhfestival.org) no later than two weeks prior to the screening event. We will be in contact with you to confirm details, billing and shipping information.
