Grand Teton National Park
The setting for the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is Jackson Lake Lodge, in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Lake Lodge frames the beauty of the Tetons through the three-story windows of its Grand Hall. From this vantage point the jagged, snowcapped spires of the Teton Range are in perfect view. Among the youngest mountains in the Western Hemisphere, The Teton Range is comprised of 11 major peaks, with the Grand Teton soaring 13,770 feet (4,197 meters) above sea level.
Jackson Hole in September
At an elevation of 6,200 feet (1,890 meters), Jackson Hole
is likely to be sunny and warm during the day, with temperatures
in the low 70’s (20 degrees Celsius), but the nights
in September can dip below freezing. Jackets, sweaters, and
similar warm clothing are recommended.
Local Activities
With Jackson to the South, Yellowstone to the North, and the
Festival in Grand Teton National Park, the options for non-festival
activities are endless! Nature hikes, National Park tours,
float trips, wagon rides, fishing trips, lake cruises, and
horseback riding are only a few of the many possibilities.
Check the website links below to explore your options, or
you can make arrangements through your Hotel. You can also
register for outings at the Activities Desk at Jackson Lake
Lodge (307-543-2811).
