Jackson Hole in Late September, Early October

At an elevation of 6,200 feet (1,890 meters), Jackson Hole is likely to be sunny and warm during the day, with temperatures in the low 70’s (20 degrees Celsius). But, the nights can dip below freezing. Jackets, sweaters and similar warm clothing are recommended.

Local Activities

Autumn is resplendent in Jackson Hole. With Elk bugling at dusk and the aspen trees boasting leaves of red and gold, it’s an incredible time of year to enjoy the abundant public lands surrounding town. With Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks shouldering Jackson to the north, the options for activities are endless! Nature hikes, National Park tours, fishing trips, climbing, scenic raft trips and biking are only a few of the many possibilities.
