Panel Agenda Continues to Evolve for Upcoming Tech Symposium
JACKSON, Wyo. The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival has announced the panels to
be presented at its upcoming Technology Symposium. Taking place October 4-6 at the
Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, the Jackson Hole Tech Symposium presents
independent filmmakers and media professionals access to technology innovators and top
industry leaders as they discuss the critical questions challenging media today.
This year's panels will explore how emerging platforms integrate with conventional
distribution, and the technological innovations that are revolutionizing today's media.
Panel topics range from emerging technology in acquisition and distribution to business
models and production workflow in multi-format productions. Using groundbreaking
case studies, panelists offer attendees the opportunity to learn from the latest in media
advancement. Symposium directors are still accepting nominations for production case
study sessions, as well as potential speakers.
Sandra J. Ruch, Executive Director of the International Documentary Association (IDA),
emphasized the Symposium's dedication to high quality panel programming: "During
past events, I have been impressed with the careful selection of timely topics and
knowledgeable panelists. Panel speakers are media authorities who are passionate about
their topics and cut straight to the point."
Furthermore, Symposium panelists are highly accessible to attendees. "We are capping
attendance at around 300 delegates for this year's event, which is much smaller than most
technology forums," said Lisa Samford, Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Wildlife
Film Festival hosting the Tech Symposium. "It is a casual environment that encourages
one-on-one dialogue, so delegates truly receive the attentive answers they need in order
to make informed production decisions."
To nominate panelists for consideration, review the agenda at

panels@jhfestival.org. Aside from an advanced panel line up, the Symposium also offers
peer-to-peer luncheons, exhibits and demos, and a bonus day of hands-on workshops.
Registration for the event opened this week and is available online.
