Memberships Volunteers
Get Involved!
For over fifteen years, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival has been promoting awareness and sensitivity to the conservation of wildlife and wildlife habitat around the world by honoring and encouraging high-quality natural history programming. Our thanks goes out to all of you for your participation.
JHWFF is always looking for volunteers. If you would like to support the staff in the office or participate in the Festival’s varied outreach programs, please contact Carrie Noel Richer at 307.733.7016.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorships, donations, grants and volunteer support are what make the Festival's public programs possible. You can help us make a difference! If you are interested in donating time, finances or resources please contact JHWFF.
Volunteers
Volunteers are always appreciated for a variety of skills including tech support, venue operations, special events, registration, set-up and pre-production. Full-time, part-time, one day, multiple days... the needs are varied and flexible. The work is demanding, but the rewards are many. In the months leading up to the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival & Symposium, volunteers can earn discounted or complimentary passes. We are also looking for support throughout the year within the office, setting up digital media workshops and on field expeditions.
Ideal volunteers possess any or all of the following qualifications:
-
Technical skills associated with sound, lighting and multi-format video projection systems
-
PC and/or MAC computer skills
-
Superior organizational skills and flexibility
-
Experience in set design or set building
-
Stamina and a can-do attitude
Volunteers who donate hours prior to and throughout the Festival and/or Symposium gain access to seminars, panel discussions, and film viewings subject to the schedule.
Volunteer applications for the 2010 Symposium are now available! Please contact JHWFF if you want to volunteer.
Internships
Internships are a great way to be involved, while gaining valuable experience to add to your resume! JHWFF interns have the opportunity to assist with preparations for a variety of events, including the 2010 Symposium and the 2011 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival.
Current internships are available and applications are now being accepted.
The ideal candidate has an interest in non-fiction filmmaking, environmental conservation, non-profit organizations, public relations, and/or event planning; and is a motivated, self-starting individual. Communications, Journalism, and Film students are strongly encouraged to apply.
An intern must be a currently enrolled or recently graduated college student able to commit at least 2 days a week for a minimum of six weeks. Students are strongly encouraged to intern as long as they are able, for a more complete experience.

Housing and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern. Internships are unpaid, but may apply toward academic credit. Interns may have a job during their internship, as long as it does not conflict with their commitment to JHWFF. All interns receive a nominal stipend.
