Muta is Senior Cameraman at NHK. He entered NHK as a cinematographer in 1981 after graduating from Waseda University (Bachelor of Law). Since the beginning of the 1990s, Muta has filmed numerous HDTV programs, mainly in the field of science, exploration, natural history and wildlife. His major works include: Planet of Life (1994, co-production with Tele Images International, Discovery Communications, KBS), Wild Asia (2000, a co-production with NHNZ), and Planet Earth (2004, co-production with BBC). Muta is now filming science programs using cutting-edge HD equipment.
