As the Seafood Watch Outreach Manager, Sheila
coordinates the program’s communication efforts. Beyond the walls of the
Monterey Bay Aquarium, she works with over 150 partners nationwide, including
zoos, aquariums, restaurants and other businesses, to educate their visitors
and customers about how their seafood selections can contribute to abundant
fish populations and the overall health of our oceans.
Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program
empowers consumers and businesses to use their purchasing power to help create
healthy oceans. By encouraging people to purchase seafood from sustainable,
environmentally-responsible sources, we can create marketplace demand for
ocean-friendly seafood.
