Cash manages the WCS’s media partnership with National Geographic, continuing a relationship that dates back to the founding days of both societies. In this position, Cash is in charge of identifying and developing WCS content for various media platforms including web, radio, television and magazine. This year's highlights include the film Gabon: The Last Eden, with additional one-hour and two-hour specials currently in production; a Wild Chronicles exclusive on the massive wildlife migration discovered by WCS field staff in Southern Sudan; and WCS Senior Conservationist and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Mike Fay's ambitious year-long Redwoods Transect. Cash also spearheaded WCS's addition as a distinct category to the free, ad-supported, online channel, NGC Wild. Cash is also host of the upcoming podcast series, Untold Tales from the Bronx Zoo, to be released in 2008.

 

Prior to joining WCS, Cash served as a producer and writer at the Emmy Award-winning documentary production company Pangolin Pictures, working on a diverse slate of programming including children’s, natural history, historical and reality series. Cash is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana holding a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a minor in French. A former Peace Corps volunteer, she has lived and traveled extensively in West Africa and currently resides in Manhattan with her husband, and their two children.
