James Balog
James
Balog's work is sometimes journalistic, sometimes
documentary, often original and highly creative and regularly displayed and
respected in the museums and galleries of the art world. His most recent of
four books is an amazing retrospective, "Anima," which elegantly
shows his career progression . Best known for his very
stylized and unique portraits of the world's
endangered species of animals, he is now working on a similar but very
different project -- portraits of the nation's greatest trees. In addition to
books and galleries, his work has been seen overseas and in the country in such
publications as the National Geographic
and Vanity Fair.
