Brian Leith, Executive Producer
BBC Natural History Unit
Brian Leith has worked in wildlife and environment film-making for over
20 years, in the BBC Natural History Unit, then as an independent (a director of
Scorer Associates), then as Head of Granada Wild, and now back in the BBC! He is
currently working as an Executive Producer in the NHU, with responsibility for several
major series: Ganges for BBC2/Travel Channel/FR3, Wild China for BBC2/Travel Channel/CTV Beijing/Canal +, Earth's Great Events for BBC1/Discovery/WandaVision and Human Planet
for BBC1/Discovery. He is also currently producing a
film of his own as a small indie: Lobo: the Wolf that Changed
America for BBC's The Natural World and PBS's Nature strand. His films have won many awards, including
Best of Festival, for The Cultured Ape,
at Jackson Hole in 2003.
