Bill Murphy
Series Producer, NATURE


Bill Murphy was named series producer of NATURE in 2001, and has been a
member of the series' production staff since 1997. Bill has worked in a producer capacity on a broad range of Thirteen programs, including Great Performances, Dancing, and States of Decision. In 1996, Murphy won an Emmy Award as producer for Itzhak Perlman: In the Fiddler's House, in the Great Performances series. His other
credits with that series include The College of Comedy with Alan King, 60th Anniversary of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, The Colored Museum, Hamlet, and the Great Performances 20th Anniversary Special. Prior to producing, Murphy served as project manager on series such as Shining Time Station, Travels, Medicine at the Crossroads, and Global Rivals.
